Camas Prairie Tea has Certified Organic Sheep Sorrel with the Root (25% root)
Our essiac Blend has Sheep Sorrel root (25%). Growing and harvesting Sheep Sorrel with root in large quantities is not an easy task. The root is very difficult to get out of the ground, clean, dry and chop. We are very happy to have found a source for this. We are one of the only companies to carry certified organic Sheep Sorrel with root in our essiac Blend. We are happy to provide this improved product to you.
Please Note:
Our essiac Blend with Sheep Sorrel root may absorb more water in brewing and have a slightly stronger flavor. This is normal and beneficial. Please refer to our updated brewing instructions.
Powdered vs. Cut: Changing some little things to make a longer lasting product.
Renee Caisse used powdered Sheep sorrel, Slippery elm and Rhubarb. She used cut Burdock root. We do not use powdered Sheep sorrel or Rhubarb. The reason for this is that Renee made essiac tea for her patients in very small batches. She powdered the herbs on an individual per batch basis. Over twenty years ago our tea was created so that not only would it provide the beneficial consituents of the orginal formula, but have a longer shelf life as well. We wanted to make sure our essiac blend offers the most powerful healing support possible at the time it is used.
Each Batch Run May Look Slightly Different.
If you use our essiac Blend on a regular basis you may notice that the tea is sometimes a little different looking from batch to batch. We get our herbs from the same certified organic sources year after year. You can always depend on the same constituents and the same quality. What may be different however is how the batch looks. This mostly depends on the weather conditions for that growing year. This is normal. Mother Nature has her ways...
